Katharina Kummer setzt Motive aus Johanna Spyris Kinderbuch in einen Dialog mit Erfahrungswelten heutiger Menschen.
Die Inszenierung greift den Gegensatz von Zivilisation und Natur auf und erkundet ganz unterschiedliche Lebensweisen. Katharina Kummer lässt durch den bekannten Plot Stimmen von heutigen Menschen erklingen, die aus ihren Leben vom Herausgerissensein, von Migration und Kulturschocks berichten können. Der Rapper Volkan T. spielt die Titelfigur und macht zusammen mit dem Ensemble nicht zuletzt in musikalischer Form die Motive des Stücks erfahrbar für heutige Berliner Kinder – ob sie nun hier geboren oder zugezogen sind.

Katharina Kummer places motifs from Johanna Spyri’s children’s book in a dialog with the experiences of people today.
The production takes up the contrast between civilization and nature and explores very different ways of life. Katharina Kummer uses the familiar plot to bring to life the voices of contemporary people who can report on their lives of being torn apart, migration and cultural shocks. Rapper Volkan T. plays the title character and, together with the ensemble, makes the motifs of the play tangible for today’s Berlin children – whether they were born here or have moved here.
